Product Description
Crystal Plus Oil is an odorless, tasteless, crystal clear, technical grade white mineral oil.
It meets or exceeds requirements of US FDA regulation 21 CFR 178.3620 (b). This oil
also meets USDA requirements for H-1 lubricants for incidental food contact.

great lapidary saw oil

works well, much better than Almag, which I had used in my slab saw for 30+ years. Easy cleanup, almost no odor, flushes cut well. Initially ordered 15 gallons, that went into my Lortone 18" saw, then ordered more oil for my Highland Park 24" saw. vuts are clean, ,and smooth, and saw makes less noise when running this oil

I was having a hard time finding an appropriate mineral oil for use in a slabbing rock saw. Locally all I could get was either hydraulic or water based cutting fluids. Both had objectionable odors and questionable viscosity values. Furthermore, most had SDS warnings to limit skin exposure. Along comes STE with this technical grade mineral oil. This is exactly what I was looking for and at a reasonable price. It flushes rock cuttings well, cools the blade, resists slinging oil off the blade and is ODORLESS. Shipping was fast.

I cut hundreds of pounds of rocks and needed more cutting oil in a bad way. I have done probably 50 cuts so far (on hard agates and quartz) and it seems to be doing very well. I will order from them again.

We use this material to store rare earth and alkali rare earth metals. It protects them from oxidation without causing other contamination, and is easy to clean off with acetone.

Excellent diamond slab saw coolant

This oil is a great diamond rock saw blade coolant. Odorless. Washes off fairly easily with hot water + dawn. Comes in an excellent container with stubby spout that you can clean and use for all sorts of other stuff.

Have been using the Crystal Plus Tech Grade CP70T in both our 14 & 16 inch slab saws, no smell, low misting, no problems. We will use this oil over any other available rock hound oil!

Get the 70T - low viscosity and low misting. Makes for fine cutting on my 12 inch.easy to clean all my cabs. Good customer support - knew exactly which type/weight oil I needed for my application

Our club got a 5 gal and once we saw how it performed we quickly ordered another 5. Just easier to live with all around, no stink and much less mist.

Get the 70T - low viscosity and low misting. Makes for fine cutting on my 20 inch highland park which has no sump so all lubrication is from the oil that remains on the blade after it passes through the basin. I cover about 1/2 inch of the blade when I fill with oil. Good customer support - knew exactly which type/weight oil I needed for my application.
